WatchDog: e-bike/e-scooter Safety Device to prevent rechargeable battery* fires
*Lithium-ion batteries only
In recent years, the use of lithium rechargeable batteries in bicycles and electric scooters has surged. Unfortunately, this increase has also led to more house fires caused by these batteries. Charging them poses a significant fire hazard that is exceptionally difficult to extinguish. Many homes have been completely destroyed within minutes, and numerous incidents have resulted in injuries and even fatalities.
Introducing the WatchDog patented device, the ultimate solution to prevent most fires. This innovative device monitors the battery's temperature and behavior during the charging process, automatically disconnecting the charger when charging is complete or if the battery reaches a high temperature. Additionally, it detects any failures that cause temperature spikes, triggering a loud alarm and notifying the user to ensure timely intervention and enhanced safety.
Features
Once the battery reaches high temperatures, charging will automatically stop and the user will receive a notification.
Charging will cease entirely once the battery is full (disconnects the charger).
Triggers a loud alarm sound and notifies the user when the battery reaches a dangerous temperature. The temperature is continuously monitored, whether it is charging or not.
Ensures the charging process will begin only when the battery temperature is within the required range.
Verifies that the charger is compatible with the device.
Significantly extends the battery's lifespan, by offering the option to stop charging at around 85% of full capacity, also indicates if the battery is questionable or defective.
How it works?
Overview:
Main unit:
Connects between the original charger and the battery's charging port, continuously monitoring the charging process and battery status. It triggers a loud alarm to warn of potential hazards.
Internal unit:
Installed once and stays in the battery compartment of the e-bike / e-scooter, transmitting data to the main unit.
App:
The app provides real-time data and updates on charging status, battery temperature and health.
